Meet our Team

	Dr. Bruce Weny Dr. Weny is a graduate of the University of Michigan. After completing his doctorate of Dental Surgery, he served two years in the Navy, one year aboard ship, one year in the Naval Academy at Annapolis, and then 20 years in the naval reserves serving with both the Navy and Marines. Dr. Weny has been practicing exceptional dentistry in the Grand Rapids area since 1975. He is an active member in the West Michigan District Dental Society where he has held several positions, currently holding position of Editor. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Weny enjoys volunteering his time at the Clinica Santa Maria of St. Mary’s Health Center. He is also active in his church serving in both liturgy and education all the while being a member of the choir. Dr. Weny and his wife, Mary Jo, have one son. In his spare time, you can find him with his family boating, gardening or traveling.
	Cheryl - Dental Hygienist Cheryl is a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College. She has been practicing dental hygiene with Dr. Weny at Heritage Family Dental since she graduated. Currently, Cheryl is the president of the local Dental Hygienists’ Society. Continuing education remains important to all of us at Heritage Family Dental. We take pride in our commitment to maintain current in our dental care. Personally, Cheryl is married and has two adult children. She enjoys travel, dance, and reading.
	Traci - Dental Hygienist Traci is a 1986 graduate of Ferris State University with an associate’s degree in Allied Science. She also holds a certification in administration and monitoring of Nitrous Oxide & Oxygen Sedation from Grand Rapids Community College. Traci has been practicing Dental Hygiene for 23 years, the last 19 with Dr. Weny. Traci is married and a mother to three beautiful daughters. She stays active in her church, children’s activities and her professional dental hygiene association. Traci enjoys connecting with her patients and helping them achieve healthy smiles that can last a lifetime.
	Jan - Dental Hygienist Jan believes in the health of the body and mind and the relationship between the oral health and the physical health. She has two associates degrees and is certified in the State of Michigan as a licensed Dental Hygienist. She maintains her credentials by taking numerous accredited classes. She is licensed in administering Nitrous Oxide and local anesthesia. She will take the extra time to listen to your needs and develop a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle.
	Stacy - Dental Assistant Stacy began working alongside Dr. Weny in 2003. She started her career at a pediatric dental office and moved into general dentistry after starting a family. She prides herself in her two energetic boys, Joseph and Matthew. Away from the office she loves to go camping with her husband and two children.

	Kim - Financial Coordinator Kim is a native of Rockford where she graduated from Rockford High School. She earned a degree in English, communications and psychology at Western Michigan University. Since then, she has worked as an office administrator in both general dentistry and oral surgery. Kim moved back to Michigan about two years ago with her husband, Zack.
	Sue - Administrative Coordinator With over 33 years in the dental profession, Sue enjoys meeting our patients and assisting them in meeting their goal of obtaining optimal dental health. She will be more than happy helping with any questions regarding your dental health needs, appointments, obligations or recommended treatment.
